To order a personalized map print or poster, which can highlight a specific orphanage and/or foster home; and include your child's name & adoption information or other text of your choice: click the 'Personalize Your Map' button, which gives complete instructions, samples and ideas.
Submit your order using the order forms provided, or by sending me a detailed email. I will then prepare your personalized map and send you proofs to review and a direct link to order your map.
Payment for personalized maps is NOT made until you approve the proofs I send you and are given a Unique product number for your map. Please review complete instructions.

Additional Services/Fees: Other services for personalized maps are available ~ for example adding a finding location/town (if applicable) to your map. There is no additional fee for finding locations - please contact me for details; and see samples on the 'Personalize Your Map' page.
~* I can also add your child's name in Chinese characters (if you provide me with the pinyin/english translations and an image of the characters) - a small fee ($5 for up to 3 characters) per child applies for this. A sample of this can be viewed on the 'Personalize Your Map' page.
~* Multiple siblings - if you wish to add other siblings and their journeys on the all-China map, I'm happy to do this for you - a small fee ($10) per additional sibling applies.
~* Other services - Special Requests / other items added to map:
If you wish to add other items (non-adoption related) to the map, i.e., identify/highlight a tourist spot or other item of interest on the map & legend from your journey, a small fee ($5 ) per item applies.

Standard Maps are printed and shipped by Cafepress. Shipping is WORLDWIDE and calculated at checkout. Many shipping options are available to USA customers; standard shipping is available for international customers.

*POLICY on personalized maps*: Please kindly be prepared to purchase your map within 20 days of completion -- as maps left in the shop for longer than 30 days may be removed without notice, unless prior arrangements are made with me. Personalized maps not purchased within 60 days will be subject to a $10 re-posting fee. Any map orders that are re-posted and abandoned for a second time will be removed permanently, and I will no longer provide personalized services for said offender. At least one hour (often more) of time goes into personalizing each individual map, uploading the files, preparing proofread files and sending emails. I have tried to keep the personalization fee as affordable for people as possible and do not require an advance deposit at this time -- this policy may be subject to change.

**My maps are intended to show the general locations of orphanages that participate in international adoptions. They are hand-rendered, and although every effort has been made to ensure their accuracy, they cannot be considered to be perfectly to scale, and many elements have been estimated. As with any project of this magnitude, it is always possible that there may be errors or omissions. If you become aware of any, please do let me know by sending an email to me at: redthreadmaps@hotmail.com
The other cities/towns shown on the maps are those of my choosing; selected either because of high populations, or because of their relative locations to the orphanages, or for other reasons, such as requests from adoptive families.
These maps are 'living documents' that will evolve over time as more information is gathered and as more orphanages participate in international adoptions, new versions of the maps will be made available. I also continue to work on all the remaining province maps, so they will be added, one by one, as they are completed.

**Prior to ordering, I recommend that you view the list of Orphanages , Map or Giclee Canvas Map of the province or country you wish to order, to ensure that the orphanage you are looking for is included on the map, and/or to see how it will be displayed**.

PRIVACY POLICY:

All personal information, including names, email addresses, information for personalized products, etc. is kept private & confidential and will NEVER be shared with anyone, ever. You will NOT ever receive spam or email solicitations of any kind from me.
- Cafepress and Imagekind do NOT provide me with any of your personal information when you place an order online. If you wish for me to be able to contact you, you will need to first contact me with your information.
- Personalized maps are placed in a private online shop that is not indexed/searchable by search engines, for your privacy.

NEWSLETTERS/ADVERTISING:

If you ever wish to receive a newsletter with product information or updates, you will need to specifically subscribe to it on my Cafepress Red Thread Maps storefront, otherwise you will not receive any. Cafepress does not provide me with your email address or other information.
